Recently I had the pleasure of reading Drunvalo Melchizedek’s Living in the Heart, a journey guiding us through living from our sacred heart center. The sacred heart space is a very small space within the heart chakra, which acts as a union between our akasha and the sacred love that unites it all. It is singularity within the body, which means that it connects to all other singularities within the heart of planets, galaxies, and other celestial realms. Within this space, the energy of the body is not polarized, the space where the two sides of the toroidal field come together to create unity. Akasha is the collected memories of every soul that has ever existed in the universe, including every perspective on every breath ever taken by any being. The beginning of the book begins with a beautiful quote from the Upanishads about the heart:
If someone says to you,
"In the fortified city of the imperishable,
our body, there is a lotus
and in this lotus a tiny space:
what does it contain that one
should desire to know it?”
You must reply:
"As vast as this space without
is the tiny space within your heart:
heaven and earth are found in it,
fire and air, sun and moon,
lightening and the constellations,
whatever belongs to you here below
and all that doesn't,
all this is gathered in that tiny space
within your heart.”
Chandogya Upanishad 8.1.2-3
“The scientists at HeartMath have made perhaps an even greater
discovery about the heart. They have proven that the human heart
generates the largest and most powerful energy field of any organ in
the body, including the brain within the skull. They found that this
electromagnetic field is about eight to ten feet in diameter, with the
axis centered in the heart. Its shape resembles the donut form of a
torus, which is often considered the most unique and primal shape
in the universe.” -Drunvalo Melchizedek, Page 62
Drunvalo speaks about entering the Light of the Great Darkness within our sacred heart space. The Light of the Great Darkness is a fascinating point of inquiry, as darkness is not the absence of light. Darkness is a relative to the electromagnetic spectrum we are viewing. Considering that 99% of the universe is composed of “Dark Matter”, perhaps the darkness he is speaking of the creative awareness of AUM that created our universe, the nothingness that created everything. Sometimes I have the inspiration that nothingness really is the key to all of our problems, such that nothingness is not the absence of any one thing in particular, but the presence of all things when combined together. The image of the Yin and Yang symbol really takes on a whole new meaning when you realize the light and the dark are one in the same.
Drunvalo walks us through his journey in his many years of teaching to illuminate the power of what he has learned. His story begins in working with a pollution transmuting device called the R-2, which purely works through magnetism and consciousness. The experiment began in Denver, where Drunvalo worked with a team of his friends to clear thick pollution using only a few of these small devices. Again, the power of consciousness proves itself with focus. Drunvalo sought the approval of the Air Force on the device he had discovered, and they would later acknowledge the functionality and validity of the R-2 in clearing air pollution. When he approached the mayor of Phoenix to implement the technology, however, he was turned down. However, that inspired him to find out that the R-2 used the same electromagnetic image as the MerKaBa, giving him the inspiration to begin experimenting in clearing air pollution through meditation. He went further than clearing pollution by inducing rain storms in areas with extreme drought, such as on the coast of East Australia during a historic drought in 1996, or contrarily creating sunshine during a year of never-ending fog in England, the power of meditation proves itself over and over again in Drunvalo’s journey. That being said, Drunvalo is a highly skilled adept whose spiritual journey has long been underway. For every being wishing to clear pollution and create rain in drought stricken areas, it does take quite a bit of practice. That does not mean that we are separate from our innate power and gift to create for the benefit and well being of all. In fact, it is most important to realize any skilled individual exists as our self in the future, and as time is just one eternal moment, with no past or future, we are able to tap into any aspect of ourselves at any time.
Speaking of adept individuals, Drunvalo describes learning about the super psychic children documented in China during the late 1980’s, as documented in Omni magazine. These super psychic children represent one of the first wave of star-seed visitors to the planet, or what Dolores Cannon would refer to as the second or third wave of volunteers. As documented by Lee Carroll in the book Indigo Children, many waves of extraterrestrial, multi-dimensional souls are incarnating to Earth to assist with the dimensional shift from third to fourth density, corresponding to the end of the Mayan calendar. This corresponds to the multi-dimensional frequency of the Ninth Wave of Creation, as written about by Carl Johan Calleman. Also corresponding to the end of the Mayan calendar, our planet completes a grand cycle of creation where after about 16.4 billion years, humanity is able to access nine ascending, varying frequencies of vibration that determine the resonance of life on the planet. All of these frequencies emanate from our galactic center. The star-seeds we encounter on a daily basis come from other galaxies, and occasionally other universes, where they frequency of their core soul resonance is much faster that that of even the 9th wave emanating through our galaxy. The super psychic children in China demonstrated profound abilities, were able to read every word on crumpled pieces of paper, turn a rosebud into a fully mature masterpiece within seconds, as well as levitate objects through typically impassable mediums such as glass or a wall. Upon discovering these super psychic children in China, Drunvalo began finding them all over the world, from Mexico to Bulgaria and beyond. He would meet certain individuals who could see through their feet, read and intuit their environment while blindfolded, all to demonstrate the profound ability of a synchronized heart and mind. This book is a testament to the power of human consciousness, and ultimately it concludes that the most powerful center of our being is the sacred heart space. Through his understanding of Birkeland currents, Melchizedek proves that energy can actually travel more than a trillion times faster than the speed of light — yes, a trillion. Nikola Tesla was on to Birkeland currents, yet of course was defunded by J.P. Morgan, who knew the power of what Tesla had discovered. The super psychic children of China, Mexico, and beyond are demonstrating that the powers of observable energy are focalized in our being, that our consciousness is capable of such powerful and timeless wisdom in action that all models of physics, spirituality, mathematics, quantum theory, and endless more need to be re-written in order to properly align with the fundamental tenants of creation. Drunvalo says in a video with Daniel Mitel, with whom he co-authored Journeys into the Heart, which acts as almost a sequel to Living in the Heart, that “The key to evolution is to be one with the universe.” Through Living in the Heart as these super psychic children and star seeds do at all times, we open ourselves to fulfill our true human purpose. This purpose is to allow the light of divinity to flow through every cell of our being in a state of absolute receptivity and allowance, such that we begin to fully emanate this light through us.
From the super psychic children, the book progresses to Drunvalo’s work with indigenous cultures. In particular, I am fascinated by his communication with the Kogi Mama tribe from the Sierra Nevada mountains of Colombia, South America. The name Kogi refers to the tribe, while the word Mama is their name for the religious leaders of the tribe. They are ambassadors of Mother Gaia, inextricably linked on every level to Gaia as her embodiment. While this is true of all sentient beings here on Gaia, it is important to note that indigenous cultures hold the space of true embodiment of the fundamental tenants of creation. The Kogi mama can see in complete darkness, and walk through creation living by the guidance of their inner light. The Kogi Mama’s believed that the “techno-cultural” world would end on August 11, 1999, techno-cultural being a word for Western world. The beings inhabiting this matrix of consciousness would spin off into a new dimension of Earth’s timeline. Edgar Cayce similarly predicted this frequency shift. Through the intimate connection with the Earth, existing as higher dimensional beings in the third dimension, the Kogi Mama’s were able to see into the future, our past, and delve deeply into the moment. When August 11, 1999, came and passed, they went into meditation and saw lights all around the world:
“In investigating these lights, the Mamas found that
they were the lights of people who had learned about their lightbodies,
which in ancient times were called "Mer-Ka-Bas." It was the
Mamas' belief that these people with their lightbodies had changed
the course of history.” — Drunvalo Melchizedek, Living in the Heart
The plan of the divine has been adjusting and refining the human journey for millions of years (yes, we are much, much older than the hysteric history books tell you), yet the much anticipated shift from the third to fourth dimension has been the host of some incredibly strange and profound shifts in the last century. Instead of a stratified ascension of humanity, where those who have been doing the deep work on the spiritual journey ascend to the next dimension, like the indigenous Kogi, Hopi, or Aborigine, and those who have not are sent to another third dimensional planet to continue their experience of polarity (as the frequency of Gaia would be too high for their density of resonance), it seems that as never before, the entirety of humanity will be ascending together as one, unified, multi-dimensional field of consciousness. The Law of One readings highlight that every civilization, extraterrestrial and earthbound, create a social memory complex of consciousness that channels through every being. Thus, the idea of individuality and separation is only an illusion. Tribes like the Kogi watch as we in the Western abide by a deep sense of separation, as they love our ignorance from a distance in the safety and guidance of their oneness with All That Is.
The Kogi would send one of their children to meet with Drunvalo, who had spent a few decades teaching the Mer-Ka-Ba at that point in time. They wished to thank him for his service, and expand his understanding of the subject. The emissary of the Kogi disappeared from Drunvalo after he had just shown up at his door the day he was moving from one home to another. While later teaching a workshop in Mexico, a Colombian woman began dancing with great passion in the middle of a circle during a group meditation. While initially welcomed, this caused the participants to ask Drunvalo to stop the woman, as she was disturbing the peace. He tapped the woman on the shoulder, only to have her spin around and look directly into his soul. All of the sudden, Drunvalo was standing in another place and time, surrounded by grass huts and folks in white clothes. A woman of a Colombian tribe with special abilities, Ema, was contacted by the Kogi Mama to help teach Drunvalo “The language that has no words,” which is the language of the heart. Ema astral traveled and become another Mexican woman, whom she instructed to go to Drunvalo’s workshop in Colombia, and was the one dancing in the middle of the chanting circle. Drunvalo had found himself in a female body, being taught by the Kogi Mama the ways of the heart, their history, their culture, their divine wisdom. The Kogi Mama used the sound of the heart to awaken Drunvalo to the new reality, sounds that had no language or words, but emanated from the sacred space of the heart. The Kogi Mama taught Drunvalo how to enter the sacred space of the heart, which truly is the key to becoming one with the environment around us.
From these incredible stories, Drunvalo had found the way into the sacred space of the heart, which allowed him to write the book I am reviewing. Although he had mastered the process for himself, not everyone he taught in this sacred manner took to the teaching. He discovered that for those who experience emotional traumas, they are relived when they enter the sacred space of the heart. I see this parallel in many resisting spirituality through harboring addiction and emotional co-dependency, as facing towards the light of truth in their being would bring back the pain of all they have encountered.
To close, I will share the two most important meditation techniques that Drunvalo offers in entering the sacred space of the heart. The first is the Unity Breath meditation, which was brought to Drunvalo in meditation with Sri Yukteswar:
See a place in nature that you feel is beautiful. Feel the love you have for nature and Mother Earth. Let this love grow in your heart until you feel it in your whole body.
When the time feels right, take your love and put it into a small, round sphere, and send it deep down into the crystalline core of Mother Gaia. Let your Divine Mother know how much you love her. Let her feel your love.
Feel the flow of love between you and the Earth.
When the time seems right, without breaking the flow of love between you and your Divine Mother, shift your attention to your Divine Father. In your innver vision, see or sense a night sky, the Milky Way, the depths of space.
Let yourself feel the love you have for all the rest of creation and your Divine Father. When the time feels right, put your love in a small sphere and send it into the heavens with the intention it go directly to your Divine Father. Send it to the grids around the Earth, the Sun or the Great Central Sun.
Feel the love of your Father come pouring down into your body from the heavens. At this moment, the Holy Trinity is alive on Earth.
From this place of pure love open to the awareness of the presence of God, who is all around you and who lives within you. Simply be aware of and feel this union of cosmic forces and breathe the breath of life.
The second method was taught to Drunvalo by his angelic guidance, with the help of the Kogi Mama. Originally, the Kogi taught that the only way to enter the sacred space of the heart was to sit without food, without water, in a completely dark room for nine days. After that point, the Mother and Father would enter the sacred space of the heart. However, Drunvalo knew that this would be rather impractical for the Western world, so he came up with his own method that he has found works just as effectively.
Imagine a ball of light, representing your spirit. Focus this ball of energy into the center of your head, one with your pineal gland.
With your intention and will power, leave the mind and move down into the throat. Feel the throat all around you and then move toward the physical heart. Feel the ball of light slide down your central pranic light tube.
From this point, one can enter the sacred heart space using the feminine or masculine approach. The masculine approach uses the inner toroidal field, while the feminine uses intuition only. For the purposes of the current planetary alignment, I will be including the feminine approach because it works best for me.
If you choose the female, intuitive pathway, see or sense the heart approaching and move right through the membrane of the heart into its interior. Once inside, turn your movements over to your intuition and let yourself be guided directly to the sacred space of the heart.
The first thing you do is look around. If it is dark, which it very well might be, say in your inner world, “Let there be light,” and watch or sense how the darkness turns into a world of light.
Once you see or sense the sacred space of the heart, become aware of the vibration, the sound that permeates this place. Listen to the sound for a while. When the time seems right, begin to actually make the sound. Hum, making it sound as close as possible to what you hear with your inner hearing.
Both of these methods are entirely created by Drunvalo, and all quotations and references I have made in this review belong to Drunvalo and his publishing company. I seek to share this information as it has had a profound impact on my heart, and allowed me to embody a new dimension of heart centered consciousness. The profundity and timeless wisdom of the merkaba and heart teachings, which Drunvalo does dedicate a chapter to, truly offer something profound and insightful to the spiritual seeker. To really activate the energy body from the heart creates lasting change that eternally transforms the spiritual path of any individual.
As always, it is my most sincere pleasure to share my journey with you. I love sharing the books that I read that have really made a profound difference on my life, and hope that you will take the time to read them as well.
